TAE - Working and Learning Together

« Travailler et Apprendre Ensemble (TAE) » translated means « Work and Learn Together »

TAE is an association created in 2002 by ATD Fourth World. Today, it is a small company which employs thirteen people in three sectors of activity : computer equipment recycling, cleaning services, and building maintenance. Access to work brings not only renumeration, but a way to interact with the outside world. The workplace offers opportunities to create social relations and friendships where each individual, especially the most excluded, can reaffirm their rightful place in society.

In 1984, Joseph Wrésinski, founder of the Movement ATD Fourth World, said that the company is « a place of intelligence, of innovation, a place where fraternity is experienced together. It is a place where the future of humanity is created, where each person acquires the language and tools of tomorrow - for example that of information technology. In short, a place where the stress is is laid on communication and relations between people ".

20 years on, TAE aims to realise this project. To create a company which is a place of fraternity and relationship between people. We aim to work together, not for profit, but for a better way of living together and refusing exclusion.

  Bonjour, Je vous écris pour me renseigner sur la possibilité d’y inscrire mon fils, St John Connor, citoyen britannique et résident légal en France. St John est bipolaire mais suit un traitement à Paris. Ma soeur qui fait partie de ATD Quart Monde m’a fait part de votre association dans l’espoir de faire intégrer mon fils et de lui donner un sens à sa vie. Il mène un vie à peu près normale mais qui est oisive. Il parle français bien que de langue maternelle anglaise. Pourriez-vous me dire ce que je dois faire et si mon fils peut vous rencontrer pour un entretien ? Merci de me répondre à cette adresse : jdelaine75@wanadoo.fr ou stj.connor@wanadoo.fr. Merci infiniment de votre attention à cet égard. Il a besoin d’aide et ne sait pas où se tourner. Il a beaucoup à offrir aux autres. Ce n’est pas seulement une mère qui vous parle. C’est ce que tout le monde dit mais mon fils n’a pas de confiance en lui-même.
